  • “Our daughter has attended Living the Language full time since the age of 3. She recently “graduated” and tested and entered into a CPS gifted program. Thanks to the fantastic nurturing her brain received while at LTL she not only became fluent in French, she also received a strong base for her math and English language skills. Her success thus far, is due in large part to the great care and education provided at LTL. I can’t say enough about the staff and parents. We also have a son (now aged 8) who has spent summers, school days off and Saturdays with LTL. He is also fluent in French and thriving at school. LTL is the best option available in Chicago for parents that want to nurture their child’s young brain with dual language skills.”

  • Amazing, amazing, amazing. My wife and I struggled to find a daycare for our first child that offered a foreign language and blessed we found Living the Language. We've spent time overseas and understand the benefits of a second language. LTL not only offers Spanish and French, but are very serious about their curriculum. The owner is amazing (speaks 6 languages) and employs amazing international and local teachers with master degrees in early childhood and education; and who love to work with children. We now have two children with Living the Language. Our three year old understands and translates French and Spanish for us non-speakers. He is also reading and writing in multiple languages. Our two year understands and follows orders and speaks a little of both. Our children are thriving and we appreciate the diversity of the classroom and the camaraderie and communication with the teachers and other parents.

  • This place is absolutely amazing! Though my son is enrolled in Spanish, he is speaking both Spanish and French! I love the confidence that speaking a 2nd (and 3rd) language gives him as he builds an awareness and hunger to experience the world outside of the US. The immersion instruction is truly the most effective way to learn a language. My children have absorbed it while under the care of caring, nurturing, and affirming teachers in preschool and summer camp.I highly recommend Living the Language to other parents interested in preparing their children for increasingly global interactions.
